Recoton has come up with a pleasing solution to the dilemma many new satellite dish owners face.....what to do about local TV signals and the beginning of High Definition (HD) broadcasting. As you might be aware, on both satellite services (DirecTV and EchoStar), you still cannot legitimately receive local broadcasts. Recoton is offering their TV2000 indoor/outdoor antenna, which will solve this problem. It is a foldable, bi directional TV antenna with a fixed FM Trap (88-108MHz). The TV2000 will maximize reception of low-band VHF (channels 2-5), high-band VHF/UHF, and DTV (Digital TV) signals. It works in conjunction with an 18-inch satellite dish. The TV2000 captures distant TV signals quite well. Because of its long and slim horizontal 60-inch design, it may be placed inconspicuously under eaves or along the roofline of your house. The incoming TV signal cable fits into one side of the Power Injector, and the power cord for the AC adapter plugs into the other side. If you have an HDTV set you should have a full-blown robust signal. Also included with the TV2000 are simplified instructions that save installation time and require only one coaxial cable entering the home for both satellite and TV reception. The TV2000 is simple to install. Included with the TV2000 are three RG59 coaxial cables with weather-proof connectors, two RG6 cables, a pair of high-grade signal diplexers and one Power Injector.
