I purchased a replacement battery for me Sony Vaio VGN-TX3XP laptop computer. The replacement battery, although not Sony branded, was identical in size and very close in appearance to my old Sony battery. When my old battery was new I would get about 4 hours on a single charge from it before it stopped working, with this replacement I get about 4 hours and 45 minutes. This is roughly 10% more than my original Sony, so not quite the 20% improvement stated. However, this is more than my run down battery and more than an identical, more expensive replacement from Sony. The battery came with a 12 month warranty, but I have had no problems with it so far although it is only one month old. The replacement battery shows no signs of developing a memory, which is consistent with my experience of the original Sony battery. My only slightly negative comment is that the plastic used is a slightly lighter shade and is a little smoother than the rest of the underside of the laptop, this may be because my laptop has aged, rather than it being a characteristic of the battery itself. Overall, this battery is great value for money, considering the price of a Sony branded replacement and that this has slightly longer battery life in my laptop.
